Time for a short update from a winter-gray Laboe.
Zina has since recovered. The long-awaited exhaust parts arrived in early December, and the shipyard finished Zina and moved her to her winter home. So, we're back at our "involuntary winter camp"—we're celebrating the holidays aboard Zina!

Yesterday we hung the festive lights on the mast and over the railing. I have to say: Zina shines beautifully across the harbor. It creates a wonderful atmosphere out on the water; it's a shame there aren't many other winter visitors here.

Of course, we couldn't resist popping back to our usual spot. We received a very warm welcome from the owner at Slomo Beach. He immediately served us a hearty, authentic German meal: kale with pork belly, Kassler, and smoked sausage. Just what you need in a freezing cold weather, but even with these autumn temperatures, it was delicious.

It's a heartwarming start to our 14 days here in Northern Germany.
Zina 'feels' good, no moisture or condensation anywhere, the new exhaust and engine look great and it really felt like coming home.
Enjoying the coziness of our stove, and just being quiet, that's the plan for now. We're thoroughly enjoying the peace and quiet in the harbor. It's great to be back here again and already making the first plans for our departure in 2026.
We wish everyone a very happy holiday season! Enjoy the warmth, the good company, and of course, your dreams for the new year.
